These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FootRank ("we", "us", "the app") governing your use of the FootRank application. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
You must be at least 16 years old to create a FootRank account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
FootRank helps players form teams, find opponents, schedule 5-a-side football matches, track results, and maintain a skill rating ("Pitch Power"). Matches happen in person, at real venues, between real people you may not have met before.
Football is a physical sport and carries an inherent risk of injury. FootRank is a matchmaking and scheduling tool — we do not supervise, referee, or insure any match, and we are not present at matches organized through the app. By using FootRank to arrange or play a match, you acknowledge and accept that risk voluntarily, for yourself and (if you're a team captain) on behalf of players you add to your roster. You're responsible for your own fitness to play, and for checking your own insurance/medical cover before participating.
You also acknowledge that other players and team captains are independent third parties, not vetted by FootRank beyond what's described in this document, and that you're responsible for your own safety and judgment when meeting and playing with people through the app.
Where the app suggests a court for a match, that's a suggestion based on both teams' stated preferences — it is not a confirmed booking. Court availability, pricing, and terms are set by the court/venue, which is an independent third party, not FootRank. We may contact the court on your behalf to help arrange the booking, but we don't guarantee availability, and any agreement for use of the court is between you (or your team) and the court operator.
You agree not to:
FootRank calculates a rating ("Pitch Power") from match results, and tracks reliability and behavior based on attendance and reports from other players. When two captains report conflicting scores, the app applies an automated resolution process (favoring the more historically reliable captain after repeated disputes), which may result in a rating penalty for the captain found responsible for a false report. We may suspend or remove accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to manipulate the platform.
You keep ownership of content you submit (profile info, team names, photos, reports), but you grant FootRank a license to use, display, and process it as needed to operate the app's features (e.g. showing your name and rating to other users, as described in the Privacy Policy).
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose a risk to other users or the platform.
FootRank is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that opponents, courts, or other users will be available, reliable, or suitable, and we're not responsible for the conduct of other users, or for injuries, disputes, losses, or damages arising from matches, courts, or interactions arranged through the app. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FootRank's total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves (e.g. as paid features are introduced). We'll update the "Last updated" date above; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
